WHY Memory Matters
WHO will benefit from this program?
There are 3 main groups of people who would benefit from this program.
-
If your memory has suffered due to illness, injury, disease or even normal ageing.
-
If you are a Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Rehab Therapist, partner or caregiver working or living with someone with challenges with their memory.
-
If you are someone who wants to safeguard your memory and build memory resilience for the future. It is for those who want to master their memory, learn the tips and tricks and build up their cognitive reserve.
WHAT will this course provide you with?
-
This course will first provide participants with a basic understanding of their memory - what memory is, how memory works, the various functions and types of memory.
-
We will then do a deeper dive on what affects memory (injury, disease, fatigue, other cognitive communication factors) as well as the impact that environment and lifestyle have on our memory. We will also discuss modifications that can be made to support good memory health.
-
Finally, we will focus on the various tools and strategies (external and internal) that can be used to help compensate and improve memory.
